Nick Jones is a highly experienced Category Management expert who is at the forefront of the discipline in Australia.
With experience across FMCG, Liquor, Technology and Hardware he brings a wealth of knowledge on how to understand consumers & shoppers then translate this into actionable strategies and plans to drive growth.
When Do You Need Us
We are your flexible category resource for all situations and projects. We help all different types of businesses from large to small and everything in between. Typically clients reach out to us when:
- They are under resourced due to staff changes, increased workload during peak periods, additional project work
- Greater Category Management expertise is required to lead complex projects

Our Approach
We believe the role of Category Management for suppliers is to create the strategies, tactics and tools businesses require to deliver the strongest physical availability possible for their brands and products.
In order to do this we focus on the '3 Be's':
- Be There - The first challenge we all face is to ensure we have our products ranged and in-stock at any retail outlet where a consumer may be considering our category.
- Be Seen - Once we have our products ranged in-store we need shoppers to be able to easily find and purchase them. This is achieved through a combination of shopper led layouts at the main fixture and through gaining off location space around the store.
- Be Worth It - Now that shoppers have found us in-store the final challenge is to deliver and communicate value to them. We do this by having the right product benefits and optimal price, both of which can be quickly easily determined at the point of purchase.
